Saturday’s RTB headliner will be Nashville recording artist and Buffalo native Caitlin Koch. Caitlin is best known for her performances on “The X Factor USA” Season 1.
An Orchard Park, NY native, Caitlin started singing in church. Early on, she was influenced by Elvis Presley due to her parents’ musical tastes. Caitlin attended Orchard Park HS where she was a scholar athlete. In 2004 at age 14, Caitlin won singing contest “Buffalo Idol” and was the opening act for Gavin DeGraw at The First Niagara Center. An electrifying audience of 14,000 made it a defining moment for Caitlin as a performer.
She then signed a management and recording deal with Robbie Konikoff at Audio Magic Recording Studios. attended Canisius College on scholarship, then left to pursue music full time. Since 2010, Caitlin has won countless Artvoice and Buffalo Music awards; winning BEST FEMALE VOCALIST four consecutive years. She has frequently headlined prominent annual events in Buffalo, such as the NYE Buffalo ball drop and The American Red Cross Buffalo BASH. She is a regular singer of our nation’s National Anthem for The Buffalo Bills and other national and international sports teams.
In 2011, Caitlin took her talent to the international stage when featured on Simon Cowell’s production, “The X Factor USA” on FOX network. Caitlin received a standing-o for her version of “Stop In The Name Of Love” by The Supremes.
Caitlin has shared stages with the likes of Brantley Gilbert, Grace Potter, Gavin DeGraw, The B52’s, Blood Sweat & Tears, Bo Bice, Colt Ford, Danielle Bradbery, Avril Lavigne, Paula Abdul, Derek St. Holmes, Lance Diamond, The Goo Goo Dolls, Pat Benatar, Tears for Fears, Matt Giraud, The Scintas, T. Graham Brown, and others.
In 2013, Caitlin signed on with Paula Abdul management at Abdul, INC. and toured with the show “Ballroom With A Twist”, which features dancers and reality TV stars from “So You Think You Can Dance”, “Dancing With The Stars”, and “American Idol”. In 2015, Caitlin followed her dream to Nashville, TN in pursuit of music as an independent artist. Caitlin is currently writing, recording, performing, and acting, and is working on music for a 2016 release. Her video credits include an appearance on the hit series show “Nashville”.
